I've been an orchestra trumpet player for years and i'd love to use my experience to help you developing your trumpet playing and musicianship.
I'm a spanish professional trumpet player. When i was at intermediate music school, my goal was to be an orchestra player. Later on, as a Bachelor student, I had the opportunity to perform with some of the best youth orchestras in Europe. In 2014 I won an audition and joined the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra in Finland. After four years of professional life there, i auditioned in Alicante ( Spain), and became founder member of the newly created ADDA-Simfònica (Alicante Symphony).
I like to work on preparing students from a musical approach (sound, style, phrasing, etc...), but also paying attention to other performance skills like a solid mindset on stage or basic acting tips, which are the key to a successful communication with the audience. I believe this aspects are crucial for any musical performer. I'd love to help you improving them!
When talking about technics, we can discuss and work on any aspect you want to improve (breathing, sound, range, tonguing, flexibility, etc...). But on top of all of them, let me tell you: I believe there's not a golden method to master trumpet playing. Actually, there are as many methods as players and as i see it, the most efficient one is TO BECOME YOUR OWN TEACHER. Let me help you on this wonderful challenge that will lead you to be much better musician and trumpet player.
