Hi there, I'm Ben, bass trombone Rotterdam Philharmonic, professor Amsterdam Conservatory, Thein-artist and 2003 ITA Award winner.
I'm here to share with you my 43 years of experience playing in an orchestra, 30 years of teaching and being an international soloist.
My goal is to be able to play as effortless as possible and with the most vocal sound one can imagine.
My method "Ben's Basics" ( sold more then 3500 times ) has proven to be of great help in this for many players.

I am a college student in America that has never had a chance to actually study with a Bass Trombonist. When I found out that Ben Van Dijk was on playwithapro, I realized that it was an incredible opportunity for me - not only to study with a Bass Trombonist, but to study with someone that I have looked up to since I started playing Bass Trombone. The lesson that I had was incredibly productive. I learned a lot that I have been able to implement into my daily warmups and practices. The lesson had a great atmosphere as well - it was comfortable and I was not intimidated to play and to put myself into my music. Not only is Ben Van Dijk an incredible musician and teacher, but a great and humorous person that will make you feel completely "at home" while teaching you how to make the most out of your instrument.
