Hi there, I’m Eric! I am a recording artist, soloist and flute teacher at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
I travel the world these days playing and curating concerts, teaching master classes and am very excited to be able to share with you my knowledge through this great online tool from wherever I am in the world! My approach to teaching reflects my broad playing/recording career and my own musical education. I consider curiosity, generosity and open-mindedness to be the keys to my success as a teacher. I can be of great help if you are preparing for college auditions, orchestral auditions, recitals or with basic questions about technique, practice skills or the wonderful flute repertoire. StudentI did both my Graduate and Post-Graduate work in Germany with Thaddeus Watson. At the same time, I did orchestral training as a substitute with the Radio Orchestra of Frankfurt. -
International Contemporary Ensemble 2005 – 2011
musicianI was a member of this amazing new music ensemble for six glorious years and during that time had the privilege of working with the many of the most important composers, conductors and soloists performing today. -
University of Auckland School of Music 2016 – 2018
Lecturer/Chamber Music and Contemporary Performance PracticeI served for two years as a research active Lecturer of Music. I taught chamber music, flute and directed the student contemporary music and improvisation ensemble.
