Bassoon Teacher in Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón (CSMA) an active bassoon player in chamber music, orchestra and solo concertos.
My name is Carlos Tarancón and I began to play bassoon quite young in my little city of Spain. I graduated on 2012 with the best qualifitacions and since 2012 I am student in the Hochschule für Musik Basel with Sergio Azzolini. I am focused on learning music from all styles and periods: understand the characters of the pieces through the rhythm, the harmony and the melody. Music is understanding when musicians play together and share ideas and feelings.
I often play chamber music with different ensembles and I have been awarded with First Prize in Chamber Music Competitions like “Primer Palau” 2014, Torneo Internazionale di Musica 2008, CMCET 2011, “Ciudad de Manresa” 2008, ...
The season 2013/2014 I played with the Orchestra from the Komische Oper in Berlin. I also often play with other Orchestras in Switzerland and in Spain and often play solo recitals, solo concertos, competitions and also do quite some recordings. Currently I study Master Degree in Music Education. I teach the boundless possibilities to get the most expressive sound on our instrument over a flexible technique (focusing on the reeds, the air, position of the body and building a solid and flexible embouchure. Looking much forward to meeting you.
