Principal bass clarinettist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, with 13 year's experience teaching both bass clarinet and clarinet.

Since graduating from my Master's degree at the Royal Academy of Music I have worked with orchestras all over the country whilst simultaneously maintaining my post at the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. These include: the London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, English National Opera, London Sinfonietta, Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Aurora Orchestra, London Winds and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. My orchestral work includes significant experience sitting up on 2nd clarinet as well as my regular and well-known role as a bass clarinettist.
I have coached wind ensembles at both the Royal Academy of Music and Trinity College of Music and adjudicated recitals at the Royal Academy of Music. I have also sat on panels for the London Symphony Orchestra's Artistry programme which is for the Guildhall School of Music's Postgraduate students.
Whether you are looking to further your studies professionally or just for your own enjoyment, I am fully able to help you get the most out of your learning experience.
I have extensive experience in teaching all ages and abilities across all genres and would tailor the lessons to the student’s needs and goals for their personal journey in learning. It’s imperative that my students are engaged, challenged and enjoy my lessons, so there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to my teaching. We will work together in areas that need improving and hone natural skills even further. We will have regular dialogue about all aspects of their experience as it's important to me to make sure they are getting the most out of their lessons.
