Teaching is my big passion and performing actively alongside is the great virtue and fuel to keep on improving myself too. Learning is the lifelong process which we should embrace and enjoy!
I am very inspiring, positive, encouraging but also demanding in a need. My method is to give clear tips and exercises to practice effectively and find a medicine to whatever problem in violin playing. I even love solving technical difficulties! Finding tools to enrich and embody the music You want to express is also my strong speciality.
I have experience of young and gifted beginners to professional students. Currently I am an assisting violin teacher at Sibelius Academy and a lecture of violin at Espoo Music Institute. In the summer I use to teach at international master classes in Finland and abroad. I have a strong and variant experience of different music styles from baroque to modern repertoire. I am glad to guide you with any stylistic question too.
The passed 8 years I have performed as a concertmaster in Scandinavian countries, UK and USA and now is the moment to share my knowledge about orchestra playing and preparing for the auditions. Welcome with Your Mozart and a pack of excerpts too!
As a keen chamber musician I am also privileged to teach chamber music at Sibelius Academy and act as an artistic director at International Helsinki Chamber Music Festival and Minimalia Concert Series. These positions give me a view of the demands and possibilities of the world of chamber music nowadays. I am happy to help You or/and your ensemble the essentials of this specific repertoire.
