About my accordion lessons
My accordion lessons are for beginners and advanced students of all ages. Above all, it's important to me that my students enjoy the accordion playing and make quick progress. Depending on students age, I apply different methods, which I tailor to each individual. The didactic approaches to teaching the accordion playing are very diverse. I was fortunate enough to go through five different accordion schools (from Serbia, Russia, Spain, Germany and Scandinavia) and draw out the right one for each class.
The accordion is a multi-faceted instrument that I want to introduce to my students. Whether it's the fugues of Bach, tangos by Astor Piazzola or the soundtrack of the movie "The Wonderful World of Amélie" - the musical possibilities of using the accordion are enormously diverse. Luciano Berio once said: "Accordion is the instrument of the 21st century." That is my conviction as well.
For me as an accordionist, classical music and folk music are equally important if you are doing musical education. For this reason I would like to suggest to the participants of my accordion lessons that they familiarize themselves with both genres. Of course, this is not a must - after all, every learner decides how we design the program.
