I'm flutist of Landestheater Innsbruck (Austria), played in the academy of the Berlin Phil before. I can also give mentaltraining advice!
Hi there! About me:
I was born in New Zealand, grew up in Southern Germany, studied in Stuttgart (with Gérard and Formisano) and in Vienna (with Schmeiser), gained lots of experience during my time as a student in the Orchestra Academy of the Berliner Philharmoniker in 2008/2009.
Since 2009 I have a job with the Tiroler Symphonie Orchester Innsbruck at Landestheater Innsbruck (playing symphonic & opera repertoire).
As an orchestral musician I have also experienced a lot of auditions - therefore I like teaching orchestral repertoire and help you get prepared for auditions. My latest masterclass with students from Mozarteum University of Innsbruck with orchestral studies actually was lots of fun! And of course audition training also includes perfomance skills...
Drawing from my experience studying classical singing alongside my flute studies, I can also offer help especially with problems concerning breathing, sound and posture. Singing in general is a very important appraoch in my teaching methods.
In the orchestra I also play the piccolo flute, so please feel free to ask for a piccolo lesson as well! As I also love chamber music and perform with the flute in a duo with guitar since 2012, any questions about that repertoire (or basically any other chamber music repertoire!) are also very welcome.

I can highly recommend the exciting lessons with Sascha to everyone. Through initial mental training units, I finally got to flute and piccolo lessons with her. This approach, which was completely new to me, changed my daily practice enormously. Sascha taught me to practice more efficiently, to feel anchored and to find a balance between relaxation and stability. To be honest, it was the first time that I experienced what an easy flute playing feels like. With her famous phrase “Hearing guides movement” Sascha managed to smooth out many of my angular movements and I was able to focus even more on the music. With Sascha's help, playing piccolo suddenly became much easier for me and I discovered a certain passion for it. Sascha perceives you as a whole musician and person.
