I had a few lessons with Tomas last spring. I really enjoyed them and I would recommend them to everyone. Lessons were efficient and he gave many great tips to help improve my trumpet skills. Tomas had me do pitch and breathing exercises while playing the piece and I felt that they were very useful to ease my playing and improve my own learning technique. He found simple things that made my playing more professional and precise but still more relaxed.
I had a few lessons with Tomas. In thouse lessons he talked a lot about breathing and about relaxing your body while playing. For me that was very useful because when I did that I started playing better. You could say that he noticed my bad habits there and tried to help me to remove them. He also talked about articulation, precision and rhythm which is very important in music and especially for us trumpet players. He knows that well because since he is an orchestra musician and this job requires these qualities. Also what was important for me was that he demanded me to make music while still play what is written in the piece. It´s great to play orchestral excerpts with Tomas as he not only tells but also plays how it should sound and how to practice and approach them. I would recomend to take a lesson with Tomas.
