I play trumpet in the US Air Force Band & Colorado Springs Philharmonic, I’d love to help w/ efficient practicing and audition prep.
I teach because I love it. I prefer teaching intermediate to advanced students and particularly like to focus on tactics to practice more efficiently. I think you should always sound your best, so I don’t subscribe to the idea that if you sound great in the practice room, you are practicing the wrong things. That means we have to creatively design our practice sessions to improve single concepts within an excerpt (the building blocks), so we can eventually play difficult passages with consistency.
I have performed and presented masterclasses at universities all across the US. I also play in a military band and symphony orchestra, so I know what it takes to win one of those auditions. I would love to help intermediate to advanced students achieve their musical goals.

The United States Air Force Band (Washington, DC) 2017 – 2024
Trumpet PlayerI perform with in the Ceremonial Brass for visits by world leaders, military promotion and retirement ceremonies, and funerals at Arlington National Cemetery. I am also a substitute musicians with Concert Band, Symphony Orchestra, and Airmen of Note. -
United States Air Force Academy Band (Colorado Springs, CO) 2012 – 2017
Trumpet PlayerI performed with the Concert Band, Marching Band, and Stellar Brass (quintet with percussion). We performed on concert tours and for military ceremonies in Colorado Springs, CO. -
