I'm 1st violinist in the Philharmonia Orchestra, London since 2002, conductor since 2014, and teaching for 20 years. I would love to help you.
I trained internationally as a violinist and conductor, and integrated this knowledge with years of professional experience in a top-flight symphony orchestra, into my pedagogical practice.
I am part of the Philharmonia Orchestra's core Learning & Engagement team, with pedagogical work in several London and UK music hubs, now training teachers. I previously guested at Trinity Laban and Royal Academy of Music junior academy.
Outside the UK, I've given masterclasses in Germany, Poland, Japan and Uruguay. Since 2015 I have loved taking on pedagogical work as Conductor and Artistic Director of the Polish National Youth Orchestra, working on orchestral projects as well as technique workshops and audition preparation. Some of those students still check in with me when they have something big coming up.
I was concertmaster of the National Symphony Orchestra of Uruguay 2004-2006 on sabbatical from the Philharmonia. As a member of the Philharmonia and guest in other major orchestras, I have played with, and have been lucky to have been personally advised in conducting by Rattle, Nelsons, Maazel, Masur, and Salonen. I've recorded over 50 film and games soundtracks for all major studios. I've worked with Laufey, Placebo, Luis Miguel, Alan Parsons, Herbie Hancock, and many other great non-classical artists.
I love teaching people who are highly motivated to improve, whether students, professionals or amateurs. I can help prepare you for auditions, exams, concertos, solo playing, or just general learning, nerve-eliminating and (my favorite!) nailing-everything strategies. I'd be more than happy to help you.
