I have had the opportunity to study clarinet with Mr. Fiterstein for five years and he is not only an incredible musician, but also an incredible teacher! Every lesson I have with him I am always in awe of three things: his ear, attention to detail, and the ability to relate abstract and complicated musical ideas into relatable fundamentals. I think his concept of tone color and legato are particularly unique and allow students to find their own voice and creativity within sound musical principles.

Having the opportunity to study with Alex Fiterstein is a genuine pleasure and truly inspiring. His virtuosic command of the clarinet coupled with his innate musicianship always gives me new perspectives and ideas to take into my own practice and performance. He is very encouraging and supportive - after lessons I am always inspired to continue to work harder to attain the high level of artistry he continually demonstrates.
