Alongside my solo career as a concert violinist and violist, my passion and nature is teaching, and helping others improve. Since 15 years.

Violinist Daniel Röhn performs worldwide as soloist and chamber musician. He has a wealth of experience as a teacher and takes huge pleasure and passion in helping each individual find their voice and overcome their problems. Having performed numerous play/ conduct projects and as concertmaster, he has a comprehensive insight and understanding of the orchestral world. His chamber music partners are among the most outstanding musicians of his generation, and his knowledge and experience with the many facets of building a career in today’s changed classical music climate, is comprehensive. Swedish born, he is fluent in English, German, and Swedish. Passionate, patient, sensitive, and committed are most commonly attributed to his character.
"Everybody is different. In my experience, successful teaching is based on understanding that. I like to treat everyone as an individual and thus suggesting individual solutions, rather than imposing pre-factored ones on my students."

Daniel is a truly inspiring teacher who transforms the student’s playing to a phenomenal level of performance quality. He takes great care to understand each student’s particular physical and mental strengths and harness these. Further, he takes great care to understand their unique learning styles to get the very best for them in such a caring and gentle environment. One of a kind.

During the time I studied with Daniel Röhn, I gained a greater understanding of many musical and technical aspects of violin playing. One very important facet that he emphasized was a constant awareness of the audience’s perception of the various musical choices we make. While there are always many musical possibilities one must decide between in a given phrase, Mr. Röhn taught me how to select the options that most vibrantly bring the music to life for the listener, and instructed me on how to avoid musical ideas that would not transmit as well. I am so grateful for his guidance in my musical development.

Daniel Röhn is one of the most encouraging and inspiring teachers I have had the pleasure to work with. An excellent violinist, he puts all his passion for music and skilful violin playing into his teaching, makes his students forget about eventual struggles and lets them fly. He leaves space for the students‘ own ideas and helps to make them more convincing and truly get through to the audience. If you have the chance to play for Daniel: go for it!
