During the time I studied with Daniel Röhn, I gained a greater understanding of many musical and technical aspects of violin playing. One very important facet that he emphasized was a constant awareness of the audience’s perception of the various musical choices we make. While there are always many musical possibilities one must decide between in a given phrase, Mr. Röhn taught me how to select the options that most vibrantly bring the music to life for the listener, and instructed me on how to avoid musical ideas that would not transmit as well. I am so grateful for his guidance in my musical development.

Daniel Röhn is one of the most encouraging and inspiring teachers I have had the pleasure to work with. An excellent violinist, he puts all his passion for music and skilful violin playing into his teaching, makes his students forget about eventual struggles and lets them fly.
