I'm violin professor at Bahia State Federal University, Concertmarter at OSUFBA in Salvador and viola player at Bahia State Sinphony Orchestra
Hi there!
I'm a violin and viola professional who loves chamber music and pedagogy, I've had students from 4 to 60 years old.
After taking my undergrad degree at the São Paulo State University I won a scholarship to study violin and chamber music at the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Budapest and after that I entered at the studio of the famous violinist Ikya Kaler at DePaul University in Chicago, where I got my master degree with distinction in music. In Chicago I was also a member of the Chicago Civic Orchestra, where I played with great conductors such as Pierre Boulez, Bernard Haitink, Kent Nagano among many others.
Since I moved to Rio I founded three chamber groups: the Quarteto A Priori, the Trio UFRJ and the Trio Paineiras and helped founding the orchestra Johann Sebastian Rio.
Moved to Salvador/Bahia in 2022, after i got the position as violino professor at Bahia State University, where I work also as the concertmaster of the University's Orchestra.
I believe everyone should always keep moving and learning, specially in music, where there is always more to learn and that's why now I'm attending the Bahia State Federal University where I'm doing my doctoral degree in chamber music pedagogy.
