I am a self-taught but also Berklee-educated musician with decades of experience in live and studio performance and several years teaching.

As a kid, I spent several years teaching myself how to play guitar and piano. Later, I attended and graduated from the Berklee College of Music. This experience allows me to really understand the shortcuts necessary for someone learning to play an instrument. It's a particular type of insight that not many have. I concentrate on getting right down to it, getting you playing the songs you want to play and slowly inserting the theory that will help you expand as a learner as you gain experience and technique. As an experienced songwriter and composer, I can also supply guidance if you are inclined to go in that direction as well. I have experience in several genres of music, with my main strengths being rock, blues, folk, Americana, English/Irish, country, some intermediate jazz and classical.
