I´m assistant princ 2nd violins in the Munich Radio Orchestra & Member of the quartet Passo Avanti with more then 15years of teaching experience

I studied classical and Jazz violin in Stuttgart and Amsterdam.
After 2 years playing in the first violins of the Gewandhausorchestra I play now in the Munich Radio Orchestra and in the Quartet Passo Avanti (Passoavanti.de).
I also play in other orchestras like Munich Philharmonic, Deutsche Kammerphiharmonie Bremen, Mendelssohn Kammerorchester Leipzig, so I have quite big repertoire of symphonic and opera music to share with.

My aim in teaching is to help you help yourself. Only if we`re capable to anaIyse a certain problem, we`re able to solve it.
That includes also mental strategies, Yoga while playing (!), Improvisation and sometimes a laugh!
I`ve seen and played many audtions and competitions myself, so I have quite a litte toolbox that I can offer. Especially for themes like:
-what makes a good preparation?
-How do I deal with my nerves?
-How can I open my ears for a perfect intonation especially under stress?
-How can I stop bow shakings?

So I´ld love to help you prepare for an audition, concert or just to improve your technique, no matter what level you are.
I also teach Improvisation in classical and jazz context. This is a big issue for me, and it`s so much fun! Don`t be shy to ask for that, too! We could improvise on any piece you want.
For more information about that check out the webside Passo Avanti.de

Julia has helped me with the interpretation on music and guided me to build different characters and create more contrast in colors in different phrases in the music . She is passionate in teaching and provides valuable opinions, both technically and musically. Her lessons are very helpful and there is always something that you can 'take away'. If you want improvements in your playing or new ideas, Julia can absolutely help you!

Julia is a fantastic teacher! She has been great in solving technical problems in my playing as well as offering her own interesting interpretations on the music and harmony. Lessons feel like a real collaboration and I like her "there's not one way to do something" approach. She has helped me enormously and I can't recommend her enough!
