Hello! I am Mario, Solo Piccolo at Staatstheater Braunschweig and teacher a the Musikhochschule Freiburg

Hello everybody,
it would be a great pleasure for me to share with you my knowledges and skills about sound, technique, as well breathing, different musical styles.

Something more about me:
Mario Notaristefano studied with Michele Marasco and then with Andrea Oliva at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. An important milestone in his artistic development was his encounter with Mario Caroli, who had a profound musical influence on him and with whom he studied at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, as well as at the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg. He owes important influences and artistic impulses to flutists as Patrick Gallois, Barthold Kuijken, Davide Formisano, Annamaria Morini.
Second prize at the Cimarosa International Flute Competition and since 2019 member of the Ensemble Aventure, one of the most important ensembles for new music in Europe, has performed with numerous orchestras including SWR Südwestrundfunks Symphonieorchester, Frankfurter Opern- und Museumsorchester, Staatstheater Braunschweig, Philharmonisches Orchester Freiburg, Basel Sinfonietta, Teatro Petruzzelli di Bari.
As a part of his constant endeavor to deepen his musical research and interpretation, Mario published the essays for the philosophical journal „Studi di Estetica“ of the Università Alma Mater Studiorium of Bologna and for the e-journal „De Musica“ of the department of philosophy of the University of Milan.
Since 2018 Mario teaches flute at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg and since 2021 Solo Piccolo at Staatsheater Braunschweig.

I am very much looking forward to our working together!
A presto!
