Hi, I am a concertmaster and freelance violinist with many years experience!
I have always had a great love and energy for teaching, in particular training the next wave of young talents, ensuring they feel inspired in their journey that is transitioning between student and professional! I teach many masterclasses around a busy schedule of performing in my own country (Australia; Far North QLD) and Europe where I am based for the majority of the year. My teaching style is the calm way forward, creating systematic exercises that suit the individual needs of the advanced student where solutions rather than problems are met, working together to achieve the best results in the shortest amount of time. Musical creativity is the ultimate goal, always finding inspiration to try new ways to interpret. In the technical, I work via the bow and its role in developing nuance, character and colour in phrasing and using the 'inner ear' to guide the sound.
